- Type ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS in the search option by the START button
- Click the SETTINGS button in the PERFORMANCE section
- Click the ADVANCED tab
- Click the CHANGE button
- Check AUTOMATICALLY MANAGE PAGING FILE SIZE
- Click OK on all the windows to close them
- Type MSCONFIG in the search option by the START button
- Click the BOOT tab
- Click the ADVANCED OPTIONS button
- Uncheck MAXIMUM MEMORY
- Click OK on all the windows to close them
- Restart the computer
When it boots back up, check the memory being used and it should be just shy of the total memory installed.
